Sassy Mama Tunic

Guess what!? The beach cover up doubles as a sassy mama tunic! Throw it over leggings, throw on some glitzy jewelry, and ta - da! You are one sassy mama!
That can fly through the air at the speed of sound! or your baby's cry...whichever....
Who knew that I would finally enjoy a McCall's pattern? Well, let me re-phrase that. I used the McCall's pattern to figure out my size (14? what!?) and cutting out my pattern pieces, I did NOT read the directions. I just went with it like I would if I were sewing something that I made up, which was not hard for this pattern. Those McCall's pattern directions make me dizzy half the time! Anyone else feel the same!? No wonder people can hate sewing!
Paired with my $1.47 Old Navy clearance rack men's sweatshirts that I also used for Cai's Baggies, and you've got yourself a very fun, very easy to throw together outfit that costs $2.46!
 The pattern is McCall's 6559.

Seriously easy if you choose view D for front, and view EF for the back! Sew shoulder seams, sew side seams, hem arm pits, hem neckline, using an existing lightweight jersey knit sweatshirt type, you shouldn't have a bottom hem to deal with! Finish your seams as desired! Enjoy!
I will definitely be making this again as either a maxi dress or more tank tops. It's a great tank pattern, as you don't have to use the racer back option, as it comes with both options.

Now, back to my beach vacay....
It's so nice here! I hope you're enjoying the change of pace with beach photos this week!

Much love,
